A Week Full of Travel

Greetings Fam,

Well we did a lot of traveling this week. We traveled between Palermo,
Agrigento, and Caltanisetta. We spent a combined 8 hours on busses and
2 on a train. It was a good time. Really tiring and I had a headache
afterwards but after it was all said and done it was good.

So we did an exchange on Wednesday with the missionaries in Agrigento.
I had a good time. We had food fed to us. Hot dog and French fry
sandwich with mayo and ketchup on it. An Italian classic. I'm not
kidding. It's way good though. Then Thursday we travelled basically to
the center of Sicily to Caltanisetta. It was cold enough there to
where I wanted a jacket and it rained a lot. I don't think anyone was
expecting that kind of weather but, it's whatever. Then we came home to
Sciacca. Of all the places we visit or basically of all the places in
the mission I'm convinced that Sciacca is the hottest and most humid
of them all. I think I've said that three weeks in a row but it's
true.

So something new and interesting happened this week. We had a funeral
service in church on Sunday. We did Sacrament meeting (mass) earlier
than normal to accommodate for the service that followed. The funeral
was for one of Sciacca's ex-branch presidents. He was the only member
of our church in his family so as you can guess there were a lot of
people at the funeral who are not members of our church. Then our branch
president asked me to give a talk on the "Plan of Salvation" and it
went pretty well. All in all, it was a way spiritual meeting and even
though there was a difference in beliefs we were able to rejoice
together in the firm belief of life after death. Afterwards we went to
the cemetery and for all the time that I've been in Italy I've never
been to a cemetery. So it was a cool experience.

In other news. We get a new mission president tomorrow so that should
be interesting. This next week we get to go to Catania. It's the
second biggest city in Sicily. I've never been there, so I'm way
excited to go. Should be a good time. Hopefully I can remember to take
pictures. We will see.

Today for PDAY we made pizza. It was the best ever. Definitely not
the worst pizza I've had in Italy though. It was fun :) Anyways, hope
everyone had a good week! Keep it real guys! Love ya
