Transfer to Sciacca

Dear friends and family,

Crazy week this week. We had a lot to do and a lot of stuff got done
so I'll try and hit the basics with you all.

Monday we took a nice trip with the swag family, Costantinos, up to Sila
again. Sila is this big mountain range and it's a national park in
Calabria and it's dope. I'd recommend going to visit it if you get the
chance. We got some good food and homemade sandwiches and stuff. It
was a good time. We also went to this festival called "la madonna di
porta" which means "the door of Mary”, well it kinda means that.
Anyways, when you walk through the door of this church during the
festival your sins are forgiven. I walked through it like 4 times just
to be sure.

Tuesday we went with Natalia and Valerio who are another swag couple
and they took us to go see this city called "Pizzo".  I've already
seen the city but last time we just drove through. This time we
stopped in and looked around and ate the famous "Tartufo di Pizzo"
which is the ball of ice cream with a cream in the middle. Idk but
it's so freaking good. I'd also recommend eating that if you ever have
the chance. Then we ate lunch at their house and it was good :) After
that we had English course and I had to say goodbye to everyone and
they took us out to go get pizza after course so it was a good time. I
definitely miss those guys tho.

On my last day in Catanzaro (Wednesday) I had to pack.... Cuz I hadn't
packed yet and I have a lot of crap. It's cool getting transferred but
I hate packing cuz I have a lot of stuff and I don't really realize
how much stuff I have until I pack so it's lame. Then the next day I
had to say goodbye to my good friend Anziano Brandon Eldridge. We had
a good time together in Catanzaro and he is definitely one of my good
friends so that was kinda sad.

Now I'm in Sciacca. It's a pretty cool city. It's on the south-western
edge of Sicily. It's on the beach so seafood here is a big thing. Also
they sell a lot of different ceramics and what not so I'll probably
buy some of those and send them home. It's a beautiful city though
with a very old history and tourists are already showing up so it will
be full of them this summer. The church is small here in Sciacca like
it is in Catanzaro but it should be fun all the same. My companion is
tall and tan and from Utah. He is a cool guy though and we should get
along great. So yeah, I'm doing great. I kinda feel like I left home again
after leaving Catanzaro but I'm excited for the future here in my new city.

Anyways love you all and hope that you have a great week
