Dear friends and family,
So it's the end of my first full week
here in Sciacca. Also for anyone
whose wondering it's pronounced
(shh-aa-ka) or something similar. It's
been a pretty good week. I kinda came to
realize this week that I've
been out here in Italy for a little
while. I mean I hit my 6 months to
go home mark this week so that's kinda
crazy. But I've also realized
I've learned a lot while I've been here
in Italy. Besides Italian I've
learned how to do a Rubix cube in under
a minute and how to juggle. So
that's neat. I'm a good missionary
hahaha
Anyways, Sciacca is a beautiful city. It
sits on the southwestern
coast of Sicily. There are a lot of cool
spots to take a lot of really
nice pictures. It's a port city filled
with a lot of little tourist
shops. They sell a lot of ceramics. The
church here is pretty small
but we are here to help it grow haha.
Our house is real close to the
sea and our balcony has a nice view of
it.
As for missionary work. It's kinda slow
here. But we don't let that
get us down. Yeah, it's kinda hard when
people don't really wanna
listen to you but There's not much we
can do.
Nothing super crazy happened this week.
Besides the fact that I got to
talk to the fam yesterday. That was
nice. They're cool. It was my last
holiday skype home before I'm actually
home so that was also kinda
weird.
In the end. I'm happy. My new city is
beautiful. My new comp laughs at
my jokes so we get along just fine haha.
Today we are going to Palermo
to play soccer with the other missionaries
so that will be fun. Love
you all and have a good week!!
