Hey fam,
So this week was pretty neat. On Tuesday
we left Foggia and went to
Bari for zone conference with all of the
missionaries in Puglia (the
region I live in). It went really well, I
learned a lotta new things
and realized I have a lot to work on. Also,
a bunch of the missionaries
got together and we did a musical
number. We sang "Io so che vive il
Redentor" in English that's "I
know that my redeemer lives" and I
played the piano for it. Surprisingly it
went really well. Also I got
a birthday package from my ex-comp
Anziano Eldridge. He got me some
Oreos, drinks, and Typical Calabrian
foods that I've definitely been
missing. Love that guy.
Also this week we went to a member’s
house. They live way out in
"Campagna" or in the country
and so we took a bus out there and they
had a charcoal grill going. That was
exciting. We ate some real nice
pasta with cherry tomatoes fresh basil
and mozzarella chunks and then
had grilled pork chops. It was real
nice. We are going to try real
hard to get back to their house ha-ha.
Other than that, this past week went by
pretty normally. Nothing new or
out of the ordinary happening. I find
myself taking less pictures
because I've become so used to seeing
everything. From the cobblestone
streets, to the people dining in town
squares, to the many many old
churches here and there in Italy. I've
become so accustomed to seeing
all of it that I forget to take
pictures. I feel like I should get
better at that. I'll try harder next
week ha-ha.
It's hot here in southern Italy. Especially
in the month of August so
hopefully I don't melt away in the heat.
I want to thank you all for
your prayers and if you've gotten this
far, thanks for reading my
email as well ha-ha. Love you all and
have a great week :)
