Happiness Comes Through Living the Gospel

This week went by so fast that I can't even believe I'm writing this
letter to you all right now. It's crazy. Anyways, this week was a
pretty good week so let me tell you about it.

So this week Tuesday we had our weekly district meeting among the
missionaries. But the cool part was, was that my boy Anziano Kelly and
his comp Anziano Zappettini, came down from Rome to our district
meeting! So that was swag, we hung out, took some pictures, and of
course ate some food. Classic missionary stuff.

Also this week we hung out with some friends from English course! We
went to this dude’s house and he showed us around. We jumped on his
tramp and then at the end of that we were able to teach him the
Restoration of the Church. That was neat. After words he took us to
the mall and we got McDonalds. McDonalds here is not as good and a lot
more expensive when compared to America but sometimes ya just gotta
get a burger.

This week we were supposed to have a Karaoke Night activity at the
church but we had to postpone it for different reasons, BUT we are
practicing to sing a song at the activity so that's dope. Eldridge
plays the guitar and our friend/neighbor/English course student does
to. So we met up a couple times this week and started practicing to
sing a little something something. It was way cool though because we
were able to have a really good heart to heart with our friend,
Martina. She's been meeting with the missionaries for a while but
doesn't go foreword with the he lessons or it's hard to do so because
her family doesn't really want her to. But in the end we told her
that we aren't doing this because we want to grow the church to become
more powerful or to get more money or anything like that. In the end
we are here as missionaries to help you become closer to Jesus Christ
and in the end THAT is what will bring you true and everlasting
happiness.

Honestly I'm out here as a missionary to do that. I'm here because I
know from personal experience that happiness comes through living the
gospel principles that we teach. It's simple. Our friend from English
course, his name is Francesco and he has been a long time friend of
one of our members. Well this Sunday Francesco came to church. After
church that member told us that he hasn't seen Francesco that good or
happy in a long time. In the end true transcendent happiness comes
through the living of gospel doctrines and principles. Lasting
happiness isn't found in the world, it's found here.

This week has been a good week. Me and my comp get along great. I mean
we're basically brothers and we laugh way too much every day. We got a
lot of good things going for us right now in Catanzaro and we are
excited for what the future holds. Have a good week everyone! Love ya!

Ciao ciao
