I LOVE my mission and Zone Conference

Things are looking up here in Cat City. Right now I'm on a train going
to Taranto for a missionary conference. It's like a 5-hour trip so
it's pretty fun and it gives me plenty of time to write y'all a nice
email.

Some cool things happened this week. We hung out with our friends from
English course, Francesco and Rafaele. We've been teaching them for 2
weeks now and they've come to church two weeks in a row so it's been
really cool.

At church we had our Branch conference so we had some regional leaders
come and pay us a nice little visit. It was really cool when our
district president had a nice talk with our friend Francesco it was
awesome. After church we had a big lunch with everyone and it was a
full house but we had a lot of laughs and overall it was just a really
good time.

Also this week we were able to make some new friends on the street.
We've been doing a lot of publicity for our English Course. Pretty
much we walk down the street and I hold a big sign that says "Free
English Course" and my comp plays the guitar. So we sing songs and
then people come to talk to us. It's a good time.

In other news the weather here is super nice and it feels more like
May and not February which is super nice. Me and my comp are literally
best friends and are getting along super well. Honestly, we are just
having a good time. Missionary work is hard but if you do what you
love and it makes you happy the hard stuff doesn't really affect you.
We bring a message of joy and happiness so why do something that
doesn't make me happy. Me and Eldridge have really figured out how to
help people first and serve them. After that they become so much
more open to listen to you about maybe a little gospel message.

I love being a missionary and I love serving here in Catanzaro. The
people are great, the food is good and spicy and I've never seen
people get literally excited to the point of shouting hallelujah at
the fact that I eat all their food. They love me cuz I eat food. It's
a good place. Kinda like heaven ha-ha.

Love you all and have a good week!

Happiness Comes Through Living the Gospel

This week went by so fast that I can't even believe I'm writing this
letter to you all right now. It's crazy. Anyways, this week was a
pretty good week so let me tell you about it.

So this week Tuesday we had our weekly district meeting among the
missionaries. But the cool part was, was that my boy Anziano Kelly and
his comp Anziano Zappettini, came down from Rome to our district
meeting! So that was swag, we hung out, took some pictures, and of
course ate some food. Classic missionary stuff.

Also this week we hung out with some friends from English course! We
went to this dude’s house and he showed us around. We jumped on his
tramp and then at the end of that we were able to teach him the
Restoration of the Church. That was neat. After words he took us to
the mall and we got McDonalds. McDonalds here is not as good and a lot
more expensive when compared to America but sometimes ya just gotta
get a burger.

This week we were supposed to have a Karaoke Night activity at the
church but we had to postpone it for different reasons, BUT we are
practicing to sing a song at the activity so that's dope. Eldridge
plays the guitar and our friend/neighbor/English course student does
to. So we met up a couple times this week and started practicing to
sing a little something something. It was way cool though because we
were able to have a really good heart to heart with our friend,
Martina. She's been meeting with the missionaries for a while but
doesn't go foreword with the he lessons or it's hard to do so because
her family doesn't really want her to. But in the end we told her
that we aren't doing this because we want to grow the church to become
more powerful or to get more money or anything like that. In the end
we are here as missionaries to help you become closer to Jesus Christ
and in the end THAT is what will bring you true and everlasting
happiness.

Honestly I'm out here as a missionary to do that. I'm here because I
know from personal experience that happiness comes through living the
gospel principles that we teach. It's simple. Our friend from English
course, his name is Francesco and he has been a long time friend of
one of our members. Well this Sunday Francesco came to church. After
church that member told us that he hasn't seen Francesco that good or
happy in a long time. In the end true transcendent happiness comes
through the living of gospel doctrines and principles. Lasting
happiness isn't found in the world, it's found here.

This week has been a good week. Me and my comp get along great. I mean
we're basically brothers and we laugh way too much every day. We got a
lot of good things going for us right now in Catanzaro and we are
excited for what the future holds. Have a good week everyone! Love ya!

Ciao ciao
