So this week definitely consisted of
more house finding. It was cool
though we made a game out of it. The
goal is to get 100 points so I'll
give ya the score sheet
3pts - when you hear the TV but nobody
answers
2pts - "I'm Catholic"
3pts - when they give you a finger shake
5pts - when they yell
1pt - for "guarda" or
"ascolta" which mean "look" and "listen" and
it's very common to hear before they say
no
20pts - if they let you in
1pt - if you ask for a referral
3pts - when they accept a pass along
card
We haven't got too 100 points yet but we
have had some people let us
in. So it's dope. It was a fun week
though. It's getting really cold
outside so house finding isn't super fun
cuz you like sit outside this
big apartment building and ring the
doorbell and talk into a radio
thing. If your lucky someone says no but
opens the door anyways so
then you can go knock on doors in the
apartment complex and then
people get confused on how we got there.
Ohhhh Italy.
Also this week was Thanksgiving. We ate
good this Thanksgiving. Me and
my companion bought 6 kilos of turkey.
Which is 13.5 pounds. We just
got big chucks and cooked it in the oven
for 3 hours. It was good.
Super soft and juicy. We used a lot of
butter. Also we made gravy. So
good. We then took it to a member’s
house and ate with 2 members and
the sisters. The sisters made mashed
potatoes (using moms slam dunk
recipe) and a salad. Man it was a good
meal. Then we finished it with
the best apple crumble and vanilla
gelato. It was good.
Today for Pday we went to this American
restaurant dinner place. It
was opening day and they played a lot of
Elvis Presley and had many
pictures of Marilyn Monroe on the walls.
Also a lot of old Chevys. So
it was cool. Also I bought leather
gloves today because it's so cold
and now I'm styling so hard. I feel like
a boss. Looking so good.
Anyways like this week was cool. Italy
is good. American food is
difficult to eat. I feel like a out of
season runner when I eat
American food. I can run the 5K but it
takes a lot of effort. But when
it comes to pasta I'm a tapered marathon
runner. I put away pasta.
Anyways. That's life. Christmas is
coming. There was a band downtown
last night. It was cool. Also saw the
two short twin brothers break
dancing again. They were going hard to
some Usher. Anyways. Have a
good week!
