It was a good week out here in Pescara!
We had a couple scambi
(exchanges) with other missionaries so
that was pretty cool. After
district meeting on Tuesday the
missionaries from Ascoli stayed and we
did a scambio with them. It went really
well, that evening consisted
of a lot of house finding and then going
to English course. So you
could say it was pretty exciting. The
next morning, we went downtown
and went to this huge piazza and did a
"gesso" which is where we lay a
bed sheet down and write something on
it. People come and look at it
and we talk to them about it. So we did
that for a couple hours
talking about English Course. The police
soon came over to investigate
all the trouble we were causing. I guess
he had nothing better to do
than investigate 4 Mormon boys spreading
love ha-ha. Swag.
After Ascoli left the zone leaders came
down from Terni (another city
in Italy) and we did a scambio with
them. It also consisted of some
finding but we did meet up with this
guy, Angelo, who wants to learn
English but can't come to our English
course so we were like "yo, we
gunna come over to your house and teach
ya English but only if we can
share the gospel too" he was like
"I'm down" so we went and taught him
English and the gospel. It was swag. We
ended up going to see him again
Saturday and it went really well but the
cool part came after when he
gave us a ride to where we needed to go.
He loves jamming out to Lady
Gaga hahaha.... Italians. Also Lady Gaga
throws down some good beats.
In other news, transfer calls came this
week and I barely made it here
to Pescara and I'm already getting
transferred out. My new city is
going to be Catanzaro. It's in southern
Italy. Like near the end of
the boot but not quite at the end. The
city is small and it's a branch
in the only district in Italy so lots of
members there. It should be
swag though cuz I'll be there for
Christmas. People have been
telling me that missionaries eat real
good down there and the food is
spicy apparently so I like that. I'm a
lil sad to be leaving Pescara
but what I've realized is that as soon
as a missionary says he is
leaving the city every single member now
has every night, afternoon,
and morning free for the missionaries to
come over..... What? Ha-ha,
anyways, I'm pumped for my new city and
I'm sure good things will
happen down there.
Lastly this upcoming week on December 10
I hit my one-year mark as a
missionary which is crazy. I have some
mixed feelings. On one side
it's like bruh I barely got to Italy and
I'm going to be going home in
like 2 seconds. On the other hand, I'm
like "........bruh a whole other
year. Wow, I'm sure it will go by
fast though. Anyways love ya all.
May the force be with you. Peace
Anziano Yskes
P.S. So we come to Rome today to play
soccer with the zone. There are
a lot of armed guys with camo and big
guns. Things are real here in Rome
