So this week was transfer call week!!!
Which means the transfer is
almost over and I've been in Pescara
for almost 6 weeks. That's crazy.
The time has honestly gone by so fast.
But in good news me and Anziano
Houseman are staying together! We will
stay here in Pescara for
another transfer! We are honestly so
excited for that blessing because
we both love it here and we have a lot
more work that we want to do
together.
Also this week we went to the other
city in the district. It's called
"L'Aquila" which means
"eagle". ha-ha Now here is the thing. This city
was hit by an earthquake about 6 years
ago. It was a very beautiful
city, and you would think that it's
all fixed up now and looking good
again. It's not. Italy has this
problem of starting construction
projects but never finishing them. So
the city has like 27 cranes
hanging over it but none of them are
doing anything. Also, there are
like a ton of destroyed houses. They
are still full of furniture and
all that stuff and they are really
cool to explore.....;) ha-ha it was
a good time though. The city is still
beautiful; it's just funny that
it's still under construction.
Also this week. We had Peters
Baptism!!!!!!! :) so idk if I told you
how we found this guy, but we were
teaching our homeboy Paul outside
of his refugee camp. Mid-lesson this
random guy come over and asks us
if we are missionaries. We said yes.
He then asked if we were Jehovah
Witness and we said no. And he
finished with "when can we meet to talk
1-on-1" we said
"...............tomorrow?" Hahahahaha after the first
lesson he said that we needed to meet
at least 2 or 3 times a week so
he can become closer to Jesus Christ.
We said "............okay." Then
after his first time in church he said
"I loved church today. This is
the true church. I will come every
week. When can we meet again to
talk about the word of God?" My
companion said "……………tomorrow?"
So a month after we met this guy, he
got baptized. He is a miracle.
The baptism also went amazing. So many
members of the ward came which
was super awesome and our bishop gave
Peter an amazing welcome. It was
an amazing experience for us and him
and everyone there. Honestly so
blessed to have met Peter and to have
been able to be apart of the
beginning of his journey. Truly a
blessing.
But that's pretty much the week! It
was a good one :) love you all
back home so much and hope you're
doing well. Oh and mom, in a
package, anything that's like super
American. I'd like. The more
American it is, the better ha-ha I
trust you ;) Anyways thanks for all
your prayers! Love you.
