So this week has been really weird.
We've pretty much just been figuring out what we can and can't do to help these
refugees come unto Christ. So I guess what the decision now is, is that we can
teach them but they cannot be baptized until they have their permesso. Well, at
least I think that's what it is. I'm not really sure and we get different
messages from different people. It's whatever though.
In other news, Christmas lights have
started going up here in Italy. They don't do Thanksgiving so they just do
Christmas right after Thanksgiving. I haven't started listening to Christmas
music yet though. We don't really know what we are going to do for Thanksgiving.
Probably make a turkey. We will need a recipe tho. Ha-ha we told the students
in our English course last week that when we bake our turkey you pour Coke over
it to give it more flavor. They thought we were kidding. Since my comp is from
Missouri #themidwest we understand these kinda things. We connect through food ha-ha.
Llike nobody in the mish that's from out west knows what fried pickles are. We
both love fried pickles. So as you can see we get along great as companions.
It's good though. But we will need a good turkey recipe. And the mashed
potatoes one too and any other recipe that you think we could use or that would
help us.
What else. Ummm the whole Paris vs Isis
thing is pretty crazy. People in Rome are kinda nervous cuz like the Pope. But
I guess we will see what happens. It's kinda crazy though because I heard that
Isis is getting people into the US through refugees from Africa. So if anything
it was a huge testimony builder of divine revelation when I heard that because
not a week before this stuff goes down the leaders tell us to start moving away
from them. Mostly for our safety. And now if anything, it's given us a good
reason and I guess a "scapegoat," if you will, to help our
investigators who are refugees why they can't be baptized right now. It's for
our safety, their safety, and the safety of the church.
Well that's about it for this week. I
love y'all tons and hope you have a good week!
Also if any packages want to be sent for
Christmas the only way they can be guaranteed to arrive to me before Christmas
is if they get to the mission office by Dec 1. So yeah. Also I'm making a
package to be sent home. It will have stuff in it for the Fam and also a little
Christmas gift for Derrick and Tyler so you can add something too it if you
want and then send it to them. But yeah. If ya want anything let me know and
put money on my card :) Love you have a good week.
