We had a good week here in Pescara. It's
crazy how many blessings the Lord has been throwing our way this week. I
honestly don't know what we are doing so good but we will just keep doing what
we gotta do.
Most of this week was spent with our now
new convert Paul getting ready for his baptism Saturday :) He is an African
from Nigeria and has been in Italy for probably about 6 months. When he got
here he skipped around between churches until one day his friend, who is also a
new convert of like 2 months, brought him to church. The old Elders here
started meeting with him but obviously they left and now we are here. We just
had to take him the last couple steps in order to get him ready for baptism.
The baptism went great! The baptismal font here is kinda funny but it's good.
After his baptism he bore a powerful testimony about how he knows that this is
the church of Jesus Christ and how important it is to missionary work. He loves
sharing the gospel. We are now teaching one of his friends named Peter. We met
him about 2 weeks ago and he told us that we HAVE to meet with him at least 3
times a week to become closer to the Jesus Christ. Swag. He also came to church
this week and afterword said "I like this church. I know it is true. I
will start coming every week. When can I see you again?" ....... We are going
to go see him tonight :) Also two other new converts brought a friend to church
this week and we are going to go see them also. Miracles just keep happening
and it's such a blessing to be here right now.
In other news, I'm doing really good.
Still tired like always but I try and keep a smile on my face. Me and my
companion get along great, I cook and he cleans so it's a match made in heaven.
Literally. The weather here is lame; it rains like every other day because it's
starting to become that season again. I bought an umbrella though so hopefully
I won't get too soaked. Also this morning we got up early and ran to the beach.
Ik we ran. I ran. That's another miracle but it's good. We watched the sunset
and took pictures. It's nice living a 5 min jog from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
:)
Anyways love you all so much! Have a
good week! I'm kinda pissed about the Michigan game but happy about the Packers:) Ciao Ciao
